Kenyan comic Meshack Kiprop alias Arap Uria has finally met renowned British Sports commentator Peter Drury.
Uria who is known for lip-synching Drury’s commentaries set tongues wagging after he earlier shared a tweet pleading to meet the commentator.
Dressed in his signature look, Uria who is currently in Qatar for the World Cup was holding a placard requesting to meet the commentator.
“Hello, Peter Drury, it’s Arap Uria. I am in Qatar and I would like to meet you.” the placard read in parts.
Shortly after the tweet, Drury’s co-commentator Jim Beglin pledged to ensure his wishes were fulfilled.
“I have passed on your tweet to Peter. I hope it all works out for you. Good luck, Peter will contact you tomorrow, Arap,” Jim tweeted.
