DEVELOPING STORY: Ruto’s CS Informs Govt Plan To Increase Salaries For Public Servants

Public Service, Affirmative Action and Gender Cabinet Secretary Hon. Aisha Jumwa says the President William Samoei Ruto’s government has plans to increase salaries for civil servants in the next 100 days.

This comes after Jumwa noted that most public servants are demoralized due to their meagre earnings amid the harsh economic times as well as plan government has to increase the tax bracket for civil servants.h

The embattled coast region politician added that there are at least 923,000 public servants in Kenya whose wage bill stands at more than Ksh. 890B annually.

The state agencies will also do an audit of all public servants’ academic papers and later hand the report to CS.
