The Kenya National Examination council is the one that is responsible for everything that has to do with the Kenya certificate of secondary education examinations, the 2022 KCSE exams were done last year between 02.12.2022 and 23.12.2023 and results are not yet released.
KCSE Grading System
The KNEC grades seven subjects for every student, that is Mathematics, English and Kiswahili which are compulsory, strictly two best performed sciences either Biology, Chemistry or Physics, and two humanities if best performed than the technical subject the student has done.
The highest points a candidate can garner per subject are 12 which translates to grade A(plain) and the lowest a candidate can score in a subject is one point which is grade E.
Minimum University Entry Grade
Over the past four or so years, candidates have been sponsored by the government to universities if they manage to score a C+ of 46 points, we expect the same for the 2022 KCSE candidates.
