Kisii: Man allegedly hacks his two children aged 2,3 to death

A family in Kiobegi area, Kisii county has been thrown into mourning after two children aged 2 and 3 were allegedly killed by their father.

Nyamache OCPD Kipkulei Kipkemboi confirmed the incident noting that the bodies of the children were found dumped at a family farm.

The bodies had deep cuts on the heads, police suspect they were hacked with a machete.

The suspect was arrested and is currently under police custody pending arraignment.

Elsewhere in Miyoro village in Ndhiwa sub-county villagers were left in shock after a 19-year-old lady stabbed her husband to death after a feud.

Lucy Anyango took herself to the area assistant chief to escape the wrath of the angry mob who wanted to take away her life for murdering her husband.

The area assistant chief Enosh Nyawade confirmed the incident stating that the deceased identified as Michael Ondiala succumbed to his injuries after he was stabbed in the stomach.

“The suspect stated that their squabbles started after they disagreed on her husband’s plan to marry another lady as a second wife,” Nyawade said.

The suspect claimed that her husband took the lady to their home on Tuesday evening and insisted that she would be the second wife.

“I had to escape and spend a night at my neighbour’s house as a result of the beating I was subjected to that evening. He beat me again when I went back to wash my clothes and children,” Anyango said.

The mother of two explained that the deceased had turned wild and continuously beat her up before ordering her to pack her things and leave. At this moment, she picked up a kitchen knife and stabbed him in the stomach.

The administrator said that they had arrested the woman and taken her to Kobodo Police Post after interrogation.
