It is now three months or so since the then Kenya Kwanza alliance presidential candidate successfully convinced kenyans at the ballot to be voted in as the fifth president of the republic of Kenya, a fete Ruto has been keen to credit to God.
However, there are thought to have been powerful individuals who helped the then deputy president run a well oiled Presidential campaign machineries in recent memory, a machine well organized and well funded that it cruised beyond the state backed Azimio la umoja presidential candidate, a no mean fete.
As The Nation reports, there are two powerful government officials serving in the current Kenya Kwanza administration who were instrumental in financing the Kenya Kwanza campaigns, together with a third person who doesn’t serve in government.
According to the paper, communication authority of Kenya chairperson Mary Wambui Mungai and Kenya revenue authority (KRA) chairperson Anthony Mwaura are the government officials who helped to bankroll president William Ruto’s campaign.
The two are said to enjoy the ear of the head of state and were said to have also been joined in the list of Ruto financiers by business mogul Joshua Kipchumba Chepkwony.
