Nandi Deputy Governor celebrates after daughter scored 421 in KCPE

Nandi county Deputy Governor Yulita Cheruiyot is celebrating her daughter for excelling in the just-released Kenya Certificate Primary Certificate (KCPE).

The deputy county head said she attributes her daughter’s impressive performance to God and hard work.

Gloria Lerato Jepkorir, a candidate at Kapsabet Highlands Academy, scored 421 marks in KCPE in a class of 75 candidates who posted a mean score of 391.

“It has been God, hard work and commitment which saw me pass my examinations. I thank my teachers and parents for their support,” Gloria noted.

“My daughter has done us very proud! 421 Marks! God has made her through. Congratulations, our girl,” Yulita said.

Otieno Lewis Omondi Glen and Fwaro Makokha Robinson were the top candidates in the 2022 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examination. The two tied after scoring 431 marks out of the possible 500.

“9,443 candidates scored 400 marks and above while 307,756 scored between 300 and 399 marks. Some 619,593 candidates scored between 200 and 299 marks while 296,336 got between 100 and 199 marks,” Machogu noted.

A total of 724 candidates scored between 1 and 99 marks.
