Former President Uhuru Kenyatta has joined Kenyans and other politicians in celebrating Azimio la Umoja One Kenya supremo Raila Odinga as he turns 78.
In a tweet shared via his official Twitter account, the former Head of State wished the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader great tidings and favour as he turns a new chapter.
“I would like to take this opportunity in the new year, to wish my brother and friend Hon. Raila Odinga a Happy Birthday,” he wrote.
“May God’s blessings and favour be upon you today and in the years to come.”

NARC Kenya party leader Martha Karua also penned a birthday message describing Raila as a transformational leader.
“Happy birthday Raila Odinga captain of Aziimio and Kenya’s foremost transformational leader. May you enjoy many happy returns,” Karua said.

Another leader who wished the former premier was Homa Bay governor Gladys Wanga.
In her birthday message, Wanga expressed utmost gratitude to the former premier for his contributions to constitutionalism, and devolution.
