Azimio la Umoja, One Kenya Coalition Leader Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga is currently in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt where he is scheduled to make an official address during this year’s United Nations’ 27th Conference of the Parties(COP27) on Climate Change in his capacity as the African Union (AU) High Representative for Infrastructure Development in Africa.
The former prime minister is slated to make a presentation on the impact of climate change on infrastructure development in Africa and why there is a need for strengthening adaptation and resilience, mitigating emissions, facilitating a just transition, and increasing funding and collaboration for essential climate solutions.
On the sidelines of the Summit, Hon. Odinga had the opportunity to interact with a number of African Presidents including, among others, H.E Samia Suluhu (Tanzania), H.E Hakainde Hichilema (Zambia), H.E Nana Akuffo (Ghana), H.E Dr Emerson Mnangagwa (Zimbabwe) together with Ms Nardos Bekele-Thomas Chief Executive Officer of AUDA-NEPAD.
